The return of the Heures musicales de Cunault

Three concerts in July and one at the beginning of August mark the return of the Cunault Musical Hours festival. On 17 July, the Priory Church will be the venue for the organ and oboe concerts.

If there is one joy that cannot be refused, it is that of hearing the Cunault organ sound again in the summer on the banks of the Loire in the coolness of the prioral church. The health crisis had cut off the links between the public and the instrument for two years. In 2022, the rebirth began with the Mai de l’orgue and its young talents from the conservatories of Angers and Saint-Maur-des-Fossés.

The organ as king instrument

This summer sees the return of the Musical Hours in this festival, one of the oldest in Maine-et-Loire, which is holding its 39th edition. The association Les Amis de Notre-Dame de Cunault has welcomed new members to its board, a welcome reinforcement to best tackle this new season.
