In 1996, Eric Lebrun, titular organist of the great Cavaillé-Coll organ of the Quinze-Vingt church in Paris and organ teacher at the Saint-Maur des Fossés Conservatory, proposed to François Tonnelier, initiator of the “Heures Musicales de Cunault”, to create an event dedicated to organ music during the month of May and reserved for young laureates of the regional conservatories and of the national superior conservatories of music of Paris and Lyon.

For the guest organists, this is a fine recognition of their talent and their work, in a proximity to the public that is facilitated by the installation of the organ in the right transept of the building.

Thus, every Sunday in May, several hundred people are welcomed at 5 p.m. in the priory church of Cunault for a free concert given by one of the future incumbents of the great organ galleries or concert performers from France or abroad who, for the great majority of them, have been taught by the great pedagogue Eric Lebrun.
